It's that time of year again-Renaissance Festival Time! This super-popular family event begins August 22nd, running every weekend through October 4th, as well as being open on Labor Day, and "Festival Friday", October 2nd! The Fest is open 10am-7pm, rain or shine.
Located in Holly, MI at 12600 Dixie Highway, once you arrive at The Michigan Renaissance Festival you will be transported back in time, to a world full of Lords & Ladies, Jousting matches, loads of entertainment, and food fit for a King! 
Back again this year is the Mural Competition-create a mural to decorate their pubs! The Fairy House Competition is also back this year-find details and registration forms for both events HERE.
As usual, there are the various "Theme Weekends", which highlight different special events Ren Fest has to offer. This week is the High Seas Adventure, and remember, the festival is open Labor Day! This week's activities include a Beard Competition, a Tattoo Competition, a chance to win a birthday party from Goldfish Swim School, and more! Keep an eye on the Mac Kid newsletter each week as we highlight the theme for the upcoming weekend! 
Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $21.95 for adults, or $12.95 for kids ages 5-12. Those ages 65+, or students with a valid ID, are eligible for a rate of $19.95. Season passes are also available for purchase. Advanced tickets bought online are $18.95 for adults and $10.50 for kids, and can be purchased HERE.
