Monday is Memorial Day! There are lots of fun events happening this weekend and the weather will be great. We'll be sure to find a way to honor our fallen heroes and I hope you will too. 

Here are Macaroni KID Lake Orion - Rochester Hills - Oxford's picks for the five things to do with kids this week. Click on the links for all the details:


1. Garden Bros Nuclear Circus at Lakeside Mall
Garden Bros Nuclear Circus will amaze you with special effects, concert style lighting, Human Cannonball, Wheel of Death, Motorcycles in the Sphere of Fear, Human Slingshot, Comedy the whole family will love, Girls hanging by their hair, Olate Performing Dogs as seen on America's Got Talent, Cossack Riders; we can keep going but you just need to see it. Get your tickets now! 


2. Orion Veterans Memorial Day Run
Monday morning come join us for the 7th Annual running of this Memorial Day Lake Orion tradition. This year's event will start/finish on Anderson Street adjacent to the Children's Park parking lot. Each participant to receive an event dog tag at the finish. Day of check in will take place near the start/finish starting at 8 am. 5 Mile will begin at 9 am and the 5k Run/Walk will start at 9:15 am.


3. 2023 Memorial Day Ceremony
Head to Veterans Memorial Pointe on Monday at 9:00am for a touching ceremony honoring our fallen heroes. 


4. Greater Rochester Heritage Days Festival
May 27th and May 28th 9am to 6pm (5pm Sunday), come out and enjoy this free, family-friendly, event located in the beautiful Rochester Municipal Park in Rochester. Come visit the Heritage Rod & Custom Car Festival on Saturday and the Festival of Cars show on Sunday hosted by The Lions Club. Shop handmade artwork made by Michigan artists (and a couple from Ohio!) at the Crafts Along the Creek Artshow hosted by Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve. Purchase some plants at the Plant Sale hosted by The Oakland Township Historical Society. See reenactors and displays. Enjoy food from a variety of food trucks and listen to some great live performances too!


5. Jumperoo at Urban Air-Oxford
Tuesday and Friday mornings, Urban Air Oxford opens early for Jumperoo! Jumperoo is a special time where the park is open only for children 5 and under. The park opens to the public at noon so plan to stay and play all day.
