Break out those Halloween decorations and start preparing your costumes. It's OCTOBER!! That means sweaters and boots are completely acceptable - even if we have a stray hot day or two.

These are Macaroni KID Lake Orion - Rochester Hills - Oxford's picks for the five things to do with kids this week. Click on the links for all the details:

1. Scarecrow Festival Downtown Oxford
Scarecrow Festival is back this Sunday, and we are so excited!! This year we will be starting the day with a 5K and 1 mile fun run. Following, we will start the afternoon of activities with a chili cookoff, donuts and cider, Artisan Open Air Market, Kids zone (face painting, balloons, hair tinsel, bracelet making station, etc.), Ava Swiss performing in the park, character appearances, bucket drumming, downtown trick or treating, a magic show and more! We can't wait to see you all there.

2. Outdoor Movie Night featuring Super Mario Bros.
Friday night head to Children's Park downtown Lake Orion for a FREE movie in the park. Play on the playground or snuggle with some blankets - just don't miss this fun event!

3. Open Gym at fLipSpot!
Saturday from 3-4:30pm head to fLipSpot and flip out during open gym. Coaches will be on-site for help if you need it. Come bounce around and get some wiggles out! Save $5 on admission by printing the coupon found HERE

4. Little Lit - Sessions at 10am & 11am
Tuesday head to Orion Township Public Library for Little Lit! A storytime for all ages! Children ages 0-5 and their families are invited for stories, songs, and activities that promote the five staple early literacy practices: reading, writing, singing, talking, and playing! Limit 20 children.

5. Family Fun Night!
Join us for a FREE night of family fun including food, crafts, and activities. We plan to have the Lake Orion Dragon here along with emergency personnel and a K9 officer. There will be games, a petting zoo, a chance to interact with our library and Team 302 robots. There will also be a quieter space with quiet activities for children to engage in as well, for children who have a tendency to become overstimulated.

When visiting events and local businesses, please tell them Macaroni KID sent you... and don't forget to tell all your friends!
