1. Hometown Hustle 5K & 1-Mile Superhero Color Run
The Rochester Community Schools (RCS) Foundation Hometown Hustle, is a fun 5K and 1 Mile run/walk, presented by Chief Financial Credit Union. Choose between the 5K or 1 Mile COLOR fun run. While the 5K is a timed distance, the one-mile is an untimed route that has been approved for runners, walkers or wannabe flyers to be plastered with different colors from head to toe! Once the race is over, the fun continues in the parking lot of Chief Financial Credit Union, with music, some dancing, photo ops, sponsors, and an opportunity to participate with the 5K runner/walkers around the beautiful Paint Creek Trail and City of Rochester.
2. Scarecrow Festival
KICK OFF HALLOWEEN SEASON! Get those costumes on and head to Centennial Park downtown Oxford for this FUN annual event.
3. Taste of Clarkston
Sunday is the annual Taste of Clarkston event - hosted by the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce, Independence Township Parks, Recreation & Seniors, and the City of the Village of Clarkston! This is a vibrant celebration that allures the senses and fosters a strong sense of community. This culinary gathering, held in our charming and historic town of Clarkston, showcases the region's rich tapestry of flavors, inviting our attendees to embark on a journey of taste exploration while enjoying a day filled with entertainment and camaraderie.
4. Outdoor Movie Night featuring "The Garfield Movie"
Children's Park downtown Lake Orion is the perfect place to be Friday night to enjoy a FREE outdoor movie!
5. Twilight 5K and Cougar Mudder 5K with Obstacles
Friday afternoon, head to Kingsbury School in Oxford and be ready to get your shoes dirty. The run kicks off at 5:30. The food truck will be available from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and 10% of all proceeds will be going back to the school. Twilight Thank you for your participation, sponsorship, and funding. Head signs, public JME September students enjoy. Deductible Sponsorship Levels. Money raised from the event will go towards the children at Kingsbury School.
