Since 1918, YMCA Camp Ohiyesa has provided quality camping experiences for children of Southeast Michigan. Camp Ohiyesa's 300 acres include cabins, climbing towers, ropes courses, fishing, boating, swimming lake, paddleboards, kayaks, archery, a giant water slide, ball fields, horseback riding, and numerous other memory-making, character-building amenities. YMCA Camp Ohiyesa provides kids with a safe, familiar, and fun-filled environment. No matter their age, interests, or abilities, we can help all children learn, grow, and thrive safely. Our Day Camp and Overnight Camp programs offer more than just fun. Our camps are be transformational for campers providing positive, character-building experiences, hands-on education, and environmental awareness. Campers develop independence and self-esteem while having fun and learning teambuilding and social skills under the careful guidance of responsible role models. We focus on creating a safe environment with opportunities for youth to grow. For over 100 years, Camp Ohiyesa has been a place where campers gain independence, build friend-making skills, challenge themselves, explore the natural world, and create lifelong habits of healthy living under the careful guidance of responsible role models. We have a strong emphasis on character-building and incorporate our core values (honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, inclusion) into each activity. Lunch and snack are included daily and transportation is available from Birmingham, White Lake, Novi, and Milford.
