Description
On the last Friday in April (Arbor Day), the Forestry Division conducts an annual tree-planting ceremony with the Mayor presiding and often a local scouting or youth group in attendance. Different sites are selected each year for the Arbor Day tree; Borden, Spencer, and Avondale Parks, and City Hall grounds have all been chosen in the past.
2018 Arbor Day Ceremony
This year’s tree planting ceremony commemorating Arbor Day will be held on April 27 at 3:30 pm at Meadow Brook Hall located at 350 Estate Drive, Rochester.
