Our holiday tradition returns to Orion with a Christmas at the Movies theme!
Lake Orion is the home of the largest lighted Christmas Parade in Michigan! The event—organized by the volunteers of the Orion Area Parade Group (OAPG)— happens the first Saturday each December.
With our fun theme of "Christmas at the Movies", we encourage participants and downtown businesses to light up the night and celebrate the season using the theme Christmas at the Movies to depict the holiday spirit. Register your group to participate online by December 1, 2023.
No Orion Lighted Christmas Parade would be complete without the appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus to usher in the holiday season. Expect to see the red couple in full force again this year!
The Orion Lighted Christmas Parade has been a Lake Orion tradition for over 25 years and has the distinction of being one of the largest lighted Christmas parades in Michigan. The OAPG is staffed by volunteers and counts on the support of the community to bring this event to town each year.
