Description

The holiday tradition returns to Downtown Lake Orion with "A Storybook Christmas" theme!

Join friends and neighbors downtown Lake Orion on Saturday, December 7th for the much anticipated Orion Lighted Christmas Parade! This year features a nostalgic theme of "A Storybook Christmas." No Orion Lighted Christmas Parade would be complete without the appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus to usher in the holiday season. Expect to see the red couple in full force again this year!

The Santa Tent

After the parade, come to The Santa Tent across from the Irish Tavern (formerly Fork and Pint) restaurant at the corner of Shadbolt and Broadway. Come take a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus and tell them what you want for Christmas. Have some cookies and hot chocolate and receive a special gift from Santa.

Quiet Zone

There is a Quiet Zone along the parade route this year. The Quiet Zone will be marked and is between the Sparks Griffith Funeral Home and the United Methodist Church. We have asked drivers to refrain from blowing any horns, sirens or other loud noises while in this Quiet Zone. Once vehicles turn onto Anderson Street, they  can resume their normal functions.

We hope you'll plan to join us on Saturday, December 7th! Thanks to you, the Orion Lighted Christmas Parade has been a Lake Orion tradition for over 25 years and has the distinction of being one of the largest lighted Christmas parades in Michigan. The OAPG is staffed by volunteers and counts on the support of the community to bring this event to town each year.
